“Seated in SonicNEST, I was immediately transported by the depth and dimensionality of the sound. It was pristine, with every layer in its own place, as if the music were forming a luminous space around me. When I put on one of my own tracks, the tonal colors came alive, and the vibration traveled through the unit into my body, making it a fuller sensory experience than any recorded audio I’ve heard.
As a composer dedicated to intentional, restorative music, I was blown away to hear my work this way. My pieces are long-form, around 20 minutes, and my only regret was not having time to listen to one in full. I can easily imagine SonicNEST being used for deep relaxation, meditation, a range of therapeutic work, or simply pure, immersive listening. I left imagining new pieces composed specifically for SonicNEST’s spatial depth and vibration.
Like some other reviewers I found sitting cross-legged less comfortable over time, and I look forward to the recumbent seating now in development. Tom Fechter has created something truly special, and I’m eager to see where SonicNEST goes next.”

“Tom Fechter’s SonicNEST splashes down in Harlem from its Earth orbit! … I found the live, personal introduction to SonicNEST to be an uncomplicated float into a focused stereo listening experience. Sitting on the firm, supportive circular nest seat, facing two high-end stereo speakers while the subwoofer vibrated my body from below, I received an immersive sound-bathing experience.
The Bluetooth-operated program moved through a variety of full-spectrum recorded music, including one piece on which I had collaborated as a musician. I would have appreciated a less physically demanding listening position, the sound field was rich and immersive.
As an immersive sound artist myself, I could easily enjoy using SonicNEST as a valid monitor and for alternative studio playback.”

I truly felt like I was in the middle of every scene the music brought to my mind - from a caravan in the Saharan desert, to a jazz club in New York City, to a big, booming nightclub in Berlin. “Before experiencing SonicNEST, I wasn’t sure what to expect. Was it a meditation product, an audio experience, or something else? Who would purchase it, and would they have space for it? Once I experienced it, those initial questions seemed less important. What became clear was the great care and consideration that had gone into its design.
The soundstage was remarkable. Since the environments we listen in often shape and influence what and how we hear, SonicNEST seems to help remove the room from the equation, allowing you to simply focus on the music and making the listening experience dimensional. I found the experience engaging and very enjoyable. Being able to hear and feel the music, with the sound and vibration working together in a well-balanced way, was a particularly positive aspect. Across most of the material we listened to, the low frequencies felt balanced rather than overpronounced or disruptive.
