My SonicNEST Experience

“I experienced SonicNEST at Biohackers World in Chicago, and I want to describe it honestly, exactly as I lived it.
The conference floor was overwhelming. More than a hundred vendors, everything from pain relief to stimulation technologies, people everywhere, noise coming from every direction, and constant foot traffic. I had been walking, standing, and talking with vendors for hours. My shoulders were tight, a headache was setting in, my knees were aching, and my mind was racing.
When I reached the VIP Lounge, I noticed someone sitting on SonicNEST who looked deeply relaxed in the middle of all that commotion. I had no idea what it was, but the calm on their face drew me right in. I walked over and asked.
I slipped my shoes off and settled in cross-legged. People were crowded around watching, so I gently closed my eyes to tune them out. The sounds began, the vibration rose up through my body, and I started box breathing to get in tune with what was happening and truly feel my body. Within about a minute, I felt like the only person in the room, even in the middle of a crowded, noisy conference.
What struck me most was the shifting playlist. It wasn't one flat sound, the changes carried me through what felt like different rooms, different spaces, almost like moving from one meditation into another. I was on it for maybe three to five minutes.
When I stood up, my shoulders were no longer tight. My headache was gone. The nervousness and the overwhelm had lifted, and I felt a renewed sense of energy. I went straight over to tell Tom, because I was amazed that just a few minutes could shift me that much. And honestly, what I wanted most afterward was to go home and hold onto that feeling, rather than step back into the noise.
That feeling stayed with me for the rest of the day. I even went home and told my family about it, because I could hardly believe how much my energy had shifted, from being in that crowded room to finding five minutes of true relaxation.
As a naturopathic doctor and wellness educator, I won't make clinical claims about SonicNEST. What I will say is this: nervous system regulation matters. When our nervous system is out of balance, it can affect our mood, our body, and the way we respond to the people, places, and situations around us. Having a dedicated space to pause and come back into balance can help lessen the stress we carry in our bodies.
I can see something like this serving people beautifully in so many settings: in workplaces, where someone could step away during a lunch break or after a long day; at conferences and events, where overstimulation is constant; in spas and dedicated relaxation or listening rooms; and in gyms, yoga studios, wellness clinics, and physical therapy practices where decompression space is genuinely needed.
My advice is simple: come with an open mind, and give yourself a few minutes to settle into the experience.”
